Newels are an essential element to any balustrade. Our softwood pyramid newel posts are made from green treated softwood to protect the timber from insect attack and fungal decay. The colour of the newel will vary throughout the natural aging process of this timber, as the green colour will slowly transform to a warm, honey brown which will gradually weather, to a natural silver grey over time. Finished with an elegant pyramid top for a classic style, these newels are ideal for anyone looking for a balustrade that is not only aesthetically pleasing, but also offers longevity.
