Green oak is fresh cut known as fresh sawn oak that is clear cut in the last 3-6 months. Our structural beams are of a high moisture content and are prone to shrinkage during the drying process. This means the beams easier to cut into custom shapes, making them perfect for use internally as well as externally.
Most commonly used for decorative purposes, home structures and roof structure, our structural green oak beams can also be used for an array of external and landscaping purposes.
We stock a range of lengths and section sizes in this product, but if you can not find the size you require we also provide a custom cutting service to ensure we can supply you with the beam you require to complete you project.
Our numerous sawmills cut to standard and custom sizes in European Oak. Our beams are cut according to the European QP1 standards and the THA or THB standards as approved by TRADA. We also have on site graders who will happily grade your timber according to TRADA’S THA(D40) or THB(D30) structural requirements amongst others for an additional charge.
