Air Dried Oak Channel Siding Cladding offers a striking, contemporary finish with the natural character and durability of real oak. Crafted from high-quality Air Dried Oak, this cladding profile features a distinctive recessed channel that creates bold shadow lines once installed, giving your project depth, texture, and a strong architectural presence.
Ready to fix and available in two options - First and Character Grade:
- First Grade is sorted to include only the clearest (most knot free) boards with the straightest grain possible. A perfect choice for all modern and contemporary applications.
- Character Grade will have a mixture of all top four grades, 1 through to 4 - some clear of knots and some straight grain, others with knots and some sloping grain. A perfect choice for all traditional/rustic applications, it gives a less uniformed look, without compromising its excellent durability properties.
End-Matching (Tongue and Groove) will allow you to place joints where they fall, instead of on the stud, allowing you to finish the job more quickly without sacrificing on quality and helps minimise wastage.
We offer the following section sizes:
- 142mm x 20mm - The overall width is 142mm, with the visible face measuring 127mm
Priced per square metre and supplied in random lengths between 1200mm and 3600mm unless otherwise specified for an additional charge:
- Set lengths up to 3500mm - £8.00 extra per square metre exc VAT
- Set lengths above 3500mm - £12.00 extra per square metre exc VAT
The visible face size is 15mm less to account for the joint.
If your boards are exposed to varying weather conditions before fitting, they are likely to cup, warp and split; the ideal time to fit cladding to keep this to a minimum is between the months of October and April and within 7 to 14 days of delivery.
Please be aware that sizes are subject to change in response to changes in moisture levels. Cladding will be kiln-dried to approximately an 7-10% moisture content prior to machining, but may vary between production and installation on site. Cladding will be dispatched at given sizes, but a margin of error should be used when producing cladding layout drawings for expansion and contraction in the timber.
