Bulk Bags of Ecofire HotRods - FREE DELIVERY

    Large Bulk Bag (approx 500kg)
Extra Large Bulk Bag (approx 900kg)

Our Ecofire HotRods mechanically pressed briquettes are very dense and highly calorific. They are made almost exclusively from oak with a little larch mixed in to help with the natural binding process - no chemicals or other additives are used in this process. These briquettes are the most ecologically sound means of heating your home and are completely carbon neutral. An incredible alternative to traditional firewood logs, these briquettes will offer an exceptionally long burn.

The briquettes are approximately 25-30 cm long and 8 cm round. You will need to break them however, into smaller pieces as they expand quite a lot when they heat up. The estimated burning time is 30-40 minutes and their calorific value is 19.627 MJ/Kg.

When burning our briquettes please remember that in order to achieve maximum burn time and effective heat output that they should be left alone once burning, do not poke the fire or burn time will reduce. The briquettes will expand naturally once alight so it's best to start the fire with a moderate amount of briquettes to allow for expansion then marvel at how such a small amount of this superb briquette can produce so much heat.

You will find that the Ecofire HotRods briquettes burn with a pleasant flame to begin with, which then burns to a highly efficient and calorific glow phase once the flames have disappeared. If burnt in a stove with properly controlled airflow these briquettes can throw out exceptional amounts of heat for hours.

These briquettes do not spit or spark whilst they burn, making them safe and ideal to use on open fires, stoves, fire pits and chimineas.

Available in loosely filled Large Bulk Bags (approximately 500kg) and loosely filled Extra Large Bulk Bags (approximately 900kg).

All weights are approximate due to the natural differences in the material.

Delivered on a burnable wooden pallet.

The pallets are delivered by our nationwide pallet courier to your kerbside. The Extra Large Bulk Bags are delivered on an 18-tonne or a larger sized vehicle to your kerbside, therefore please ensure that you are able to accommodate and accept deliveries from vehicles of this size. Should you require a smaller vehicle for delivery, please contact us to ensure we can facilitate this for you.

To encourage air flow around your HotRods, we recommend that you store them in a raised log store or on a pallet to keep your logs away from moist ground. We do not recommend stacking them up against a wall or placing them on grass, as air won't be able to flow and the logs can become damp.

For ease when building your fire, we recommend our boxes/nets of kindling and our Ecofire Natural Firelighters.

Our Hotrods briquettes are made within our Corby depot, making them a true UK made product and reduces the transportation carbon footprint that other wood fuels may hold, from the time they are produced all the way to their delivery to your home. The boxes and the pallet that the briquettes are burnable, meaning no unnecessary plastic waste (something that we are very proud of!).
